Evening guys Does anyone use Apple CarPlay in their car with an iPhone in a mophie case. I cannot get mine to recognise the phone. Works great without case. Just wondered if anyone uses a mophie battery case on their phone. Cheers Chris Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If your car supports CarPlay using the USB port, plug your iPhone into the USB port of your car or stereo. The USB port might be labeled with a CarPlay icon or a smartphone icon. If your car supports wireless CarPlay, press and hold the voice command button on your steering wheel to set up CarPlay.
Try starting it from scratch, so make sure it's not paired by Bluetooth, on the mib2 that smartlink is configured as MirrorLink (in the smartlink menu), on the iPhone go to settings and general, CarPlay, select usb only, and also click the ! Next to any cars and "forget" them.
I went for my vacation and plugged in my IPhone 11. Turned on Bluetooth, Mobile data and Location. Opened my google maps on the Bolero infotainment (Late 2019 Karoq model), up and working, Driving along and then about every 10 minutes, it crashes. It goes back to the black connect screen. I then have to connect again and after 10 minutes or so
The iPhone 4S gave me problems with my MY11 2010 registered Elegance Yeti with GSM 11. The iPhone 4 before it was perfect. The verdict is still out on the iPhone 5 & iOS 6 at the moment, as I haven't received enough calls when I've been in the car to say that it is fine, but the iphone 4S would not redirect incoming calls to the car, out outgoing calls were fine.
